About Me

I am a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder and a graduate research assistant at the CU Population Center in the Institute of Behavioral Science. I am interested in the application of demographic techniques to answer questions about the health of the United States.

I grew in Grand Rapids, Michigan and completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology and Communication at the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of academia, I enjoy training for and racing marathons with my club team, practicing yoga, downhill skiing, hiking, and camping.
